MICK ARMSTRONG
Eden, North Carolina | mick_armstrong@yahoo.com
Born and raised in Eden, North Carolina. My art expands across many different styles and media used to create it. From, Pencil, color pencil, acrylic, pastel, to airbrush, I often find myself using multiple types together in one piece. I do find myself mostly leaning to more of a realistic side of things, even when creating cartoon or commercial art.
ABOUT THE PIECE
There are several myths and legends about a faction of the Daoine Sidhe (Dana Shee) escaping the British Isles to safer havens in the mountains and valleys of the Blue Ridge.
To this day there are folks who still believe in these 'life size' fairies who are oh so much more powerful and frightening than the tamer stories that the Victorians preferred.
The Powerful and beautiful Daoine Sidhe inspired this Appalachian Fairy Princess.
